I first tried climbing at age 19, and the experience was electrifying. Climbing in all its forms, from bouldering to ice climbing, indoors or outside, is still my favorite sport, demanding full physical and mental attention. It forces you to be real and honest - the route is not going to change to allow you to climb it, you have to adapt.
Success is not necessarily outcome based, as the feelings associated with conquering ever-harder climbs and higher summits are all too temporary. For me, success is more about giving 100% in the moment, and it helps to share the experience with supportive, like-minded people. Climbing will always be something that energizes me, and I’m glad to be involved in a venue that brings so much positivity to our wonderful community.
